Q: What is the difference between Pneumatic and Hydro-Pneumatic Press Cylinders?
Standard cylinders rely entirely on compressed air for speed and linear movement. Mercury’s Hydro-Pneumatic Press Cylinders (Series N & A) combine air and hydraulic oil:
- They use low-pressure air for rapid approach and retraction travels.
- They engage a built-in oil intensifier circuit for a short, high-force power stroke (generating force ranges from 1 ton up to 45 tons), eliminating the high cost and footprint of a standalone hydraulic power pack.
Q: Do you supply seal kits and spares for your cylinders and valves?
- Answer: Yes, to ensure minimal downtime for your production lines as well as providing better ROI to our customers, we supply seal kits and spares for all our products. Moreover, all Mercury products are serviceable.
