Hydro Pneumatic Presses

HYDRO PNEUMATIC PRESS

Hydro Pneumatic Presses

Mercury Hydro-Pneumatic Presses are efficient, low cost alternatives to Hydraulic, power and hand operated presses.

They are products of extensive development efforts initiated in 1988. Over 18000 of these time tested, reliable ad durable machine are working in various industries all over India as well as overseas.

Their capacities range from 1 tonne to 45 tonnes of output force and are available in a variety of independent systems (2 Column, 4 Column, C-frame, compact c-frames etc) or can be purchase in only cylinder form in order to be integrated into larger systems or machines.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: What is the main advantage of a Hydro-Pneumatic Press over a standard Hydraulic Press?
  • Answer: Our Hydro-Pneumatic systems offer the speed of standard pneumatics with the immense force of hydraulics. They are significantly more energy-efficient, require lower maintenance and space-saving, and serve as a highly cost-effective alternative for capacities ranging from a fraction of a tonne up to 45 tonnes.
Q: Can we customize the stroke length and tonnage of your 4-Pillar and C-Frame Hydro-Pneumatic presses?
  • Answer: While we have a wide range of presses with tonnage ( upto 45 tonnes ) and strokes( upto 150mm), we routinely customize approach strokes, power strokes, and frame structural footprints to meet customer’s requirements.
Q: What are the typical industrial applications for these presses?
A: They are incredibly versatile and perfectly suited for a vast range of manufacturing tasks, including:
  • Riveting & Stamping
  • Blanking & Drawing
  • Metal Forming & Straightening
  • Clamping & Press-fitting assembly components
  • Cutting & shearing
Q: Can the pressing force and speed be adjusted?

Yes, both can be varied infinitely. The output tonnage can be accurately controlled by tweaking the input air pressure via a heavy-duty piston-type air regulator. Forward speed is easily managed using integrated flow control valves. Furthermore, the duration of the high-force power stroke application can be customized using the digital timer/cycle time adjustment on the control panel.

Q: What safety features come standard with these machines?

Safety is a core component of Mercury’s design. Standard systems come with a “True Two-Hand Non-Tie Down” safety control panel. This system requires the operator to press both buttons simultaneously within a 1-second window to initiate a cycle. Additional safety options such as “ hands tied feature “ , “safety light curtains” ,” 3 side guards with safetyinterlocks “  , “pressure sensors”  are also provided as optional features.
