Air Boosters
Air Boosters
Mercury’s Air Booster is an indigenous product designed to be a Compact, Portable, Efficient and low cost solution for boosting shop compressed Air Pressure by 2, 2.6 or 10times.
Some typical applications requiring such air boosters are listed below :-
Cyclic pressure / life testing of Pressure Gauges, Pressure Switches, Hoses etc.
Burst Strength Testing of pressurized vessels
Seat leakage test of Control Valves.
Operation of pneumatic cylinders, clamps etc. for applications where limited quantity of high pressure air is required.
Portable source of compressed air at pressure higher than plant pressure.
‘PET’ blow moulding machines.
Bag filter blowing.
The advantages of these Air Booster are :-
Compact, light weight & portable.
Efficient use of plant compressed air
Automatically compensates for leakages
Can be used in explosive environments
Easy servicing
Cost saving as it eliminates requirement of a high pressure compressor
Automatic and adjustable lubricator through Mercury’s unique “Autolube Pump”
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Mercury Pneumatics offers standard air-to-air boosters that can intensify shop air by 2 times, 2.6 times, or up to 10 times the inlet pressure. For instance, our specialized Series AB160-10 can boost standard shop air all the way up to 100 bar.
No. The booster operates on demand. It reciprocates in proportion to your system’s air consumption. Once the preset downstream pressure is achieved in the air receiver tank, the booster stalls and ceases to consume any plant compressed air. It restarts automatically if downstream pressure drops due to consumption or minor leakages.
Cost and Efficiency. Upgrading or buying a dedicated high-pressure compressor system is expensive to install, run, and maintain. A Mercury Air Booster is a compact, low-cost solution that plugs directly into your existing low-pressure network, boosting the pressure only where it is actually needed.
No. Our Air Boosters are completely air-driven and do not require electrical connections, making them perfectly safe for explosion-prone or hazardous environments.
Yes. An integrated air pressure regulator at the outlet of the reservoir allows you to dial in and maintain the exact constant output pressure required for your specific application.
