Hydro Pneumatic Pumps
Hydro Pneumatic Pumps
The Mercury New WORLD CLASS Series”A” Hydro-Pneumatic Pumps are an efficient, low cost alternatives to motorized and hand operated pumps.
Their salient features are :-
Compact and lightweight and can an be mounted in any orientation.
Low air consumption.
Automatically compensates for leakages to maintain set pressure.
Can be used in explosive environments as all components are pneumatically actuated.
Large variety of models to cover varied applications
Simple construction for quick servicing
Typical applications are:
Hydrostatic pressure testing – Cyclic testing
Burst strength testing.
Seat leakage of control valves.
Isostatic pressing of powder metals and ceramics
Transferring of liquids from barrels, storage tanks etc.
Pumping oil or grease – Overload protection in mechanical power presses
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- Answer: Depending on the pressure ratio selected (e.g., 1:10, 1:40, up to 1:100+), our pumps can generate hydraulic output pressures ranging from 15 bar to over 2000 bar using standard shop air.
No. Once the system reaches its set target hydraulic pressure, the forces balance out, and the pump automatically stops reciprocating. It consumes zero compressed air at this stage. It will only restart if there is a pressure drop or leakage in the system.
The standard pumps are designed for water, oil, and other non-corrosive liquids. All standard wetted parts are manufactured from high-grade stainless steel and brass to prevent corrosion and ensure longevity.
The output hydraulic pressure is directly proportional to the inlet air pressure. By adjusting the integrated air pressure regulator (using the push-to-lock knob), you can infinitely vary the hydraulic output pressure.
Mercury model numbers indicate the technical configuration of the pump:
- The first letter denotes the series (e.g., Series A).
- The first number represents the Pneumatic Cylinder Diameter (e.g., 100mm).
- The second number represents the Hydraulic Plunger Diameter (e.g., 20mm).
- Models ending in -2F denote Dual Flow systems designed for higher discharge.
Yes. As these pumps are self reciprocating pneumatic pumps , the doe not have any electrical connections and hence can be used safely in explosive environments
